Nollywood actress Biola Adebayo has come under heavy criticism after featuring actor Baba Ijesha on her podcast, reigniting public debate online.

The interview, released on her show Talk to B, marked Baba Ijesha’s first major public appearance since his release from prison in late 2025. During the conversation, the actor denied the allegations against him, insisting that the narrative widely circulated on social media does not reflect his version of events.

He also made claims about his past relationships with colleagues, including actress Iyabo Ojo, which further fueled reactions online.

The interview quickly went viral, but the response was largely negative. Many social media users criticised Adebayo for giving the actor a platform, arguing that the move was inappropriate given the nature of his past conviction. Some users even threatened to unfollow or report her pages in protest.

The situation has also reignited conversations around Baba Ijesha’s case, with renewed scrutiny following his attempt to publicly defend himself and reshape public perception.

The backlash highlights ongoing tensions within the Nigerian entertainment industry, as opinions remain divided between those who support freedom of expression and those who believe certain individuals should not be given media platforms.
