Super Falcons striker Joy Omewa made history after scoring her first goal at the City Ground for Nottingham Forest W.F.C. in a league victory over Ipswich Town W.F.C..

The Nigerian forward found the net in Forest’s 2–0 win, calmly finishing from close range after connecting with a well-delivered cross in the first half.

Omewa had shown attacking intent early in the match, coming close on multiple occasions before finally breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute. Her goal set the tone for Forest’s dominant performance.

The strike marked her second goal for the club since joining from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring during the January transfer window, and her first at the City Ground.

With that goal, Omewa joins a select group of Nigerian players to have scored at the iconic stadium, following in the footsteps of Taiwo Awoniyi, Ola Aina, and Emmanuel Dennis.

Her performance highlights her growing influence at the club and reinforces her potential as an important figure for both Nottingham Forest and the Nigerian national team moving forward.
