A prominent political figure Okpanachi has been named the new Kogi State Director of a Pro Tinubu political movement as preparations gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections. The appointment is seen as part of a broader strategy to consolidate grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across North Central Nigeria.
Announcing the appointment at a stakeholders meeting in Lokoja the national leadership of the movement described Okpanachi as a seasoned mobiliser with strong grassroots connections across Kogi State. They noted that his experience in political organisation and community engagement made him well suited for the role.
In his acceptance speech Okpanachi pledged to strengthen the movement’s presence across the state by engaging youths women traditional leaders and professionals. He stated that the group would focus on articulating the achievements of the Tinubu administration while educating citizens on ongoing reforms.
According to him the movement will prioritise political education rather than early campaign activities. He emphasized that building trust and understanding among voters was essential for long term political stability.
